Educational institution "Vitebsk State College of Culture and Arts"
The educational institution was opened on July 1, 1971, by Order No. 302 of the Minister of Higher and Secondary Education of the BSSR dated June 16, 1971, as a cultural and educational school.
By Order No. 15 of the Ministry of Culture of the BSSR dated January 31, 1990, the Vitebsk Cultural and Educational School was reorganized into the Vitebsk School of Culture.
By Order No. 47 of the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus dated April 21, 1992, the school was renamed the Vitebsk School of Arts.
By Decision No. 431 of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee dated July 10, 2001, the "Vitebsk School of Arts" was registered as the Educational Institution "Vitebsk State School of Arts."
By Resolution No. 923 of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee dated December 24, 2009, the Vitebsk State College of Arts was reorganized into the Vitebsk State College of Culture and Arts effective January 1, 2010.
The college is currently known as the Vitebsk State College of Culture and Arts, and on July 1, 2026, the college will celebrate its 55th anniversary.
During this time, the college has trained more than 5,000 specialists for cultural, artistic, and educational institutions. Currently, the college has 243 full-time and 29 part-time students.
The college currently trains personnel for institutions and organizations in the following specialties:
- Design (graphic design);
- Decorative and applied arts (textile art);
- Choreographic arts (folk dance, pop dance);
- Folk music and artistic creativity (choral music, instrumental music);
- Organization of cultural and leisure events;
- Acting (drama and cinema).
